Shirley Ann Lock, age 77 of Linn, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 21, 2021, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.

Shirley was born June 10, 1944, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Martin and Anna Marie (Kloeppel) Weber.

Shirley was a 1962 graduate of Fatima High School.

On May 21, 1966, she was united in marriage to Charles “Carl” Lock at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia. He survives at their home.

Shirley was employed as a secretary for the warden at the Missouri State Penitentiary and also at the Missouri Department of Conservation in Jefferson City. She also assisted her husband with the family business, Charles Lock Drilling and Well Pump Service, located in Linn.

She was a member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn and would always light candles and pray for family and friends.

Shirley loved nature and spent countless hours gazing at the beautiful flowers and watching and feeding any animals that passed through her yard. She enjoyed going to the casino, sharing a good meal with family and friends, and treasured items that had special memories to her. Shirley was a devoted mother to her children and a loving “Gaga” to her grandchildren, enjoying the simple things in life and spending a lot of time with her husband.

In addition to her spouse of 55 years, she is survived by: two daughters, Stacie Lock Temple and her husband Roy of Lee’s Summit and Nicole Lock Harris and her husband Todd of Leawood, KS; three grandchildren, Natalie and Lily Temple and Paulo Harris; one brother, Stephen “Tip” Weber of Westphalia; loving nieces, Sharon Voss Lock, Kathy Poff, Karen Bax, and Kristy Meyer; four nephews, Rick Neuner, Ronnie Neuner, Kenny Weber, and Keith Weber; along with many dear, life-long friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by: one sister, Dorothy Neuner Ihler and a sister-in-law, Mary Louise Weber.

Visitation will be held from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, October 25, 2021, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Fr. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant. Entombment will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Jefferson City.
