Theodore “Ted” Bonnot, age 80 of Bonnots Mill, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Friday, June 20, 2025, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Ted was born December 2, 1944, in Bonnots Mill, a son to the late Theodore and Anna (Mantle) Bonnot.
He was a 1962 graduate of Fatima High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam Conflict.
On December 9, 1967, he was united in marriage to Patricia “Pat” Rose Hoerschgen in Peoria, Illinois. She preceded him in death on June 17, 2009.
Ted and his wife, Pat, owned and operated Peppers Restaurant in Jefferson City and Krautmans Corner in Bonnots Mill.
He was of the Catholic faith and a member of America Legion Post #317 in Freeburg.
Ted enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, being outdoors, traveling, and in his retirement years, he enjoyed painting, playing cards and spending time with his family.
Ted is survived by his three sons, Kevin Bonnot of Bonnots Mill, Stacey Bonnot of Bonnots Mill, and Thomas Bonnot and his wife Julie of Ashland; two daughters, Tina Bonnot of Bonnots Mill and Jessica Voss and her husband Brenton of Bonnots Mill; one brother, Donnie Bonnot and his wife Donna of Linn; nine grandchildren, Pryce Bonnot, Rowan Bonnot, Aiden Bonnot, Emillie Bonnot, Chloe Voss, Gage Voss, Jade Voss, Tyler Kunkelman and Josh Kunkelman; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents and spouse of 41 years, Ted was preceded in death by: three brothers, Joel Bonnot, Edward “Cap” Bonnot and Jerry Bonnot, and two sisters, Martha Dudenhoeffer and Gertrude Branson.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at Morton Chapel in Linn. Funeral Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. with Military Honors to follow.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to a Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
