Vera Lorene Hanson
Vera Lorene Hanson, age 83 of Linn, passed away Friday, August 4, 2017, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
Lorene was born April 8, 1934, in Claremore, OK, the oldest daughter of the late Andy and Pauline (Dunham) Willis.
Lorene attended the Washington and Foyil Schools in Oklahoma.
In 1951, she was united in marriage to Robert Wayne Hanson, Sr. in Arkansas. He survives of the home.
Lorene was a member of the First Baptist Church in Linn where she taught Sunday School and was the Director of WMU.
She enjoyed taking care of children and visiting residents at local nursing homes.
In addition to her husband of 66 years, she is survived by: one son, Robert Hanson, Jr. of Linn; one daughter, Andrea Lynne McKinzie and her husband Doug of Middlebury, IN; three brothers, Dewey Willis and his wife Joann of Vinita, OK, Richard Willis and his wife Gale of Claremore, OK, and Keith Willis and his wife LaQuetta of Claremore, OK; one sister Wauneta Prather and her husband John of Claremore, OK; three grandchildren, Joshua, Jeremy, and Justin McKinzie; eight great grandchildren, Landon, Brooklynn, Jordan, Harper, Keaton, Cameron, Addisyn, and Jaxton; as well as many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 7, 2017, at the First Baptist Church in Linn. Funeral Services will follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Perry Wolfe officiating.
Interment will be in the Shirley Mint Hill Cemetery.
