Vincent "Vince" H. Schaefer, age 73 of Loose Creek, passed away on Wednesday, October 7, 2015 at his residence.

Vince was born on March 2, 1942, in Loose Creek, a son to the late Gerhard and Gertrude (Schlangenstein) Schaefer.

Vince was a 1960 graduate of Fatima High School. He was the owner/operator of several Shell Service Stations in the St. Louis area before retiring in 1995 and moving back to Loose Creek.

On August 13, 1999, he was united in marriage to Pamela Mitchell in Loose Creek. She survives of the home.

Vince was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and being in the outdoors, but he especially enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his spouse, Vince is survived by: one son, Troy Schaefer and his wife Christy of St. Louis; three daughters, Roxann Schaefer Ewing and her husband David of Eureka, Karen Schaefer Treloar and her husband Pete of Woodland Park, CO, and Paula Alvira and her husband Edgardo of St. Louis; two brothers, Sylvester Schaefer and his wife Ruth of Wichita, KS and Larry Schaefer and his wife Pat of Loose Creek; two sisters, Bernice Kliethermes and her husband Harry of Linn and Elizabeth Waggoner of Anchorage, AK; nine grandchildren, Alexis, Sommer, Burhan, Jillian, Vassay, Sydney, Vincent, Arman, and Andre; as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Norbert Schaefer.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 11, 2015, at Immaculate Catholic Church in Loose Creek.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2015, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek with Fr. Don Antweiler and Fr. Louis M. Nelen as con celebrants. Interment in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church Window Fund and left at church or mailed to Morton Chapel P.O. Box 77 Linn, MO 65051.
