Viola Teresa (Holterman) Luebbert, age 73 of Loose Creek, passed away Friday, January 25, 2013, at her residence. Viola was born July 19, 1939, in Jefferson City, a daughter to the late Joseph F. Holterman, Sr. and Catherine M. (Falter) Holterman. She attended grade school at Holy Family Catholic in Freeburg and high school at Fatima in Westphalia. On November 22, 1958, she was united in marriage to Ralph Joseph Luebbert in Freeburg. He preceded her in death on August 7, 1990. Viola lived in Osage County for the past 38 years. She was a homemaker and farmer. Viola was an active member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek, St. Ann's Sodality, Osage County Historical Society, Osage County Republican Committeewoman, Linn Feeder Calf Association, and Western Catholic Union. She was also a supporter of the Vitae Society and National Rifle Association. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, farming and dancing with her friends. Viola is survived by: one daughter, Lisa Schlotz and her husband Eric of Jefferson City; one son, Michael Luebbert and his wife Bobbi of Loose Creek; nine grandchildren, Nathan Schlotz, Kyle Luebbert, Morgan Schlotz, Joseph Luebbert, MacKenzie Schlotz, Jared Luebbert, Maria Luebbert, Lauren Schlotz and Kaitlyn Luebbert; one great granddaughter, Annabelle Schlotz; two sisters, Delrose Budnik of Morrison and Eileen Leuthen of Argyle. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph Holterman, Jr. and Cletus Holterman. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, January 28, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Don Antweiler as the celebrant. Interment will follow at the Parish Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek Brick by Brick Fund.
