Wanda J. Bunch, age 82, of Linn, passed away on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City.
She was born on July 6, 1942, in Rocheport, a daughter to the late William and Mildred (Benson) Waggoner. She attended grade school in Bonnots Mill and was a 1960 graduate of Fatima High School.
Wanda was employed as Osage County Deputy Clerk from 1971 to 1986. She was then elected Osage County Clerk in 1987 and retired in 2006. She also waited tables at several restaurants in Bonnots Mill and Linn on the weekends.
Wanda was a member of St. George Catholic Church.
She enjoyed attending the ball games of her granddaughters. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan, and her greatest enjoyment was spending time with her family, especially her granddaughters.
Wanda is survived by her son, Joe (Margie) Bunch of Bonnots Mill; three granddaughters, Ashley (Chad) Wickman of Lee’s Summit, Joey (Jeremiah) Lauts of Valley Falls, KS., and Sammey Bunch of St. Joseph and friend, Trevor Mull; four great grandchildren, Raelynn and Rosalee Wickman and Remington and Wesson Lauts; a sister, Carol (Vernon) Branson of Linn; two sisters-in-law, Elaine Waggoner Presley of Jefferson City and Darlene Nilges of Loose Creek, along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her parents, Wanda was preceded in death by sisters, Arlene Raithel and Wilma “Billie” Mantle; two brothers, her twin, William “Butch” and Willard “Corky” Waggoner and a half-brother, Harlin Flippin.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with a Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Colin Franklin as the Celebrant. Inurnment will be held in Verdot Cemetery in Bonnots Mill.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to Gentiva Hospice or to the Charity of the Donor’s Choice.
