Willadeen M. Carpenter age 79 of Bland, Mo passed away Friday, May 1, 2009 at the Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City after a brief illness.

She was born on Thursday, October 17, 1929 in Gasconade County to the late Charles Lesley and Eunice (Krause) Holzschuh. On October 29, 1949 she was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Carpenter in St Louis. He survives of the home in Bland.

Willadeen worked as a seamstress for Hoffman Brothers in Owensville prior to her retirement. She enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family.

In addition to her husband she is survived by three sons; Jim and his wife Jenny Carpenter of Bland, Mike Carpenter of Bland and Gary Carpenter of Belle, one daughter; Brenda Durbin and her companion Stuart Klingensmith of Linn. Two brothers; Carl and his wife Margaret Holzschuh of Dixon and Charles and his wife Delsie Holzschuh of Alamogordo, NM, two sisters; Adoree and her husband Melvin Brandt of Owensville and Mary Jane and her husband Marvin Angell of Gerald. Two half brothers; David Holzschuh of the state of Texas and Jamie Holzschuh and 7 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter; Carole Carpenter, one sister; Adelene White and one half brother; Joseph Holzschuh.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00pm Friday, May 8, 2009 at Morton Chapel in Linn.
