William “Bill” G. Donaldson, age 64 of Loose Creek, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at his residence.

 

Bill was born July 1, 1958, in Independence, Missouri, a son to the late Howard and Wilma (Petty) Donaldson.

 

Bill attended school in Independence and proudly served four years in the United States Marine Corp and an additional sixteen years in the United States Army.

 

After his military duties, he was employed at KC Blueprint in Kansas City. 

 

He was of the Methodist faith.  He enjoyed football, photography, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

 

 Bill is survived by a daughter, Mariah Backes and her husband Patrick of Loose Creek; two stepsons, Jeremy Jones and his wife Cassi and Joshua Jones and his wife Tara, both of Springfield; two brothers, Michael Donaldson and his wife Connie of Camdenton and Howard Donaldson, Jr. of the State of Arizona; two sisters, Carla Weaver and her husband Russ of Raytown and Twyla Coin of Kansas City; six grandchildren, Bennett Rowden, Rylie Jo Backes, MaKayla Backes, Wesley Jones, Sally Jones, and Jackson Jones, along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Kevin Donaldson, and a sister, Pat Keithly.

 

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Friday, June 30, 2023, at Morton Chapel in Linn.  Military Honors will be held at 4:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Todd Holman. Inurnment will be held at a later date in the Linn Public Cemetery. 

 

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Children’s Heart Foundation.
