Melvin Brian Libbert

Melvin B. Libbert, age 53 of Linn, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Melvin was born June 13, 1965, in Jefferson City, a son to the late Raymond and Allene (Woodland) Libbert.

On June 28, 2013, he was united in marriage to Lela Needy in California, MO.  She survives of the home.

Melvin was employed by Quality Drywall in Columbia. 

Melvin enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his spouse, Melvin is survived by:  three sons, Bradly Libbert and his wife Aleisha of Carrollton, Nick Booke of Linn, Timothy Simmons and his wife Crystal of New Franklin; four daughters, Jessica Wunneburger and her husband Jonathan of Springfield, Ashlea Parker and her husband Travis of Holts Summit, Megan Libbert of Holts Summit, and Kayla Libbert of Holts Summit; three brothers, Terry Libbert and his wife Marsha of Jefferson City, Daryl Libbert and his wife Kristi of Centertown, and his twin Marlin Libbert and his wife Sonya of Holts Summit; four sisters, Karen Claus of the State of Oklahoma, Barb Wood and her husband Phil of Eldon, Sheila Vickers of the State of Oklahoma, and Tina Breuer of Union; 14 grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends.

A Celebration of Melvin’s life will be held on Saturday, June 15, 2019, starting at 12:00 p.m. They will be having a BBQ potluck hamburgers and hotdogs will be on the grill.  This will be held at Melvin’s home:  2090 Highway 50 East Linn, Mo 65051.  Please join us and bring your favorite dish and a chair!
