Teresa M Jaegers

Teresa M. Jaegers, age 88, of Loose Creek, passed away Monday, March 4, 2019, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.

Teresa was born November 15, 1930, in Taos, a daughter to the late William and Annie (Taube) Brand.

Teresa attended school in Taos. 

On May 16, 1953, she was united in marriage to Jerome H. Jaegers at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos.  He preceded her in death on February 3, 2011.

She was employed as an assembly line worker at the shoe factory in Jefferson City and was a cook at Immaculate Conception School.

Teresa was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek, St. Ann’s Sodality and the Quilters Circle.

She enjoyed quilting, fishing, and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Teresa is survived by: two sons, Jerry Jaegers and his wife Diane and Leroy Jaegers and his wife Debbie, all of Bonnots Mill; one sister, Mary Nilges and her husband Henry of Loose Creek; eight grandchildren, Tanya (Howard) Fick, Derek (Tami) Jaegers, Jason (Julie) Jaegers, Jeriane (Adam) Brenneke, Devin (Mery) Jaegers, Justin (Amelia Hentges) Jaegers, LeAnn (Mark) Hoelscher, and Kaleb Jaegers; 23 Great Grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by: three brothers, Werner Brand, Louis Brand and Lawrence Brand; and four sisters, Virginia Jaegers, Wilhelmina Kempker, Gertrude Kempker and Dorothy Steghaus.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at Morton Chapel in Linn. 

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 7, 2019, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Callistus Okoroji as the celebrant.  Interment will follow in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Immaculate Conception Building Fund.
