Robert "Bob" William Niekamp
Robert “Bob” William Niekamp, age 79, of Linn, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2020, at Westphalia Hills.
Bob was born April 18, 1941, in Linn, a son to the late Raymond and Anna (Haslag) Niekamp.
Bob was a 1959 graduate of Linn High School.
On August 24, 1968, he was united in marriage to Evelyn Hamburg at St. George Catholic Church in Linn. She survives at their home.
Bob and Evelyn purchased the family farm and raised cattle, hogs, and grain crops. Bob was also a photographer for over 45 years.
Bob was a lifelong member of St. George Catholic Church in Linn a member of the Osage County Pork Producers, Professional Photography Association, Osage Squares, and the Young Farmer’s Association, past St. George School Board member and past president, past member of St. George Parish Council, past member F.F.A. advisory board, past 4H leader, and taught 12th grade CCD.
Bob enjoyed woodworking, painting, square dancing, playing Preference, camping and spending time with his children, and grandchildren.
In addition to his spouse of 51 years, Bob is survived by three sons Kenneth Niekamp and his wife Tracy of Linn, Dennis Niekamp and his wife Cathy of Linn, and Gary Niekamp and his wife Kelly of Wardsville; four daughters, Paula Peters and her husband Scott of Linn, Karen Crutchfield and her husband Richie of Jefferson City, Diane Niekamp of Linn, Lisa Terry and her husband Curtis of Loose Creek; 18 grandchildren, Derek, Caleb and Logan Peters, Hailey Jo, Olivia and Clay Niekamp, Kaylee, Kristine and Mike Niekamp, Brady, Blake and Kinsey Niekamp, Dalton, Luke and Grayson Crutchfield, and Grace, Carter, and Jack Terry; two sisters, Mary Ester Kremer of Loose Creek and Anna Mae (John) Wilding, of Hermann; along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by one brother-in-law, Al Kremer.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 15, 2020, at St. George Catholic Church in Linn.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Daniel Merz as the Celebrant. Interment will follow in St. George Parish Cemetery.
Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. George Renovation Fund or to Masses.

Bob took our wedding photos over 40 years ago. He didnt bat a eye when I stated I wanted a photo with my grandpa who was in the nursing home. It a photo I treasure to this day.
He did a wonderful job & we will remember him always.
